Verify the publisher
Use a developer’s official website or verified store listing. Identify who provides support and how updates are distributed.
Understand the offer
A free trial, a temporarily free promotion and an ongoing free-to-play game are different offers. Read the current terms.
Prepare the device
Check the system requirements and storage needed after installation. Do not assume the initial download size is the final footprint.
Check the mode
Look for account and connection requirements for the exact mode you want to use.
